The Best Tubal Reversal Surgeon To Restore Fertility
When a couple wants to have a child after tubal reversal surgery they are concerned about finding the right surgeon. The truth of the matter is that the more experienced the surgeon the better chances of pregnancy success. Yes, there are other factors involved such as the type of tubal ligation that was performed and your age at the time of reversal but the surgeon will also have a huge impact.
Finding a surgeon with the most experience is something that will play a vital role in the success of your tubal reversal. As there are a few surgeons that do this type of surgery it is important to remember that the surgeon that has completed numerous reversals also has seen cases where other surgeons stated the fallopian tubes could not be repaired.
How is the repair success rate? If the surgeon cannot tell you what his/her repair rate is there is something wrong. The leading tubal reversal center has a 98% fallopian tubes repair rate. This again is due to having more experience because this is all they do full time everyday of the week.
IVF? No, We Want Tubal Reversal Surgery
Although IVF has helped many couples have the child they desire there are couples that do not want to do this route for various reasons. Some of the reasons are:
- Cannot afford the expense. Couples that have done their research know that the first treatment of IVF does not always work.
- Conceiving is much more natural with tubal reversal.
- Less chance of having multiples. There are couples that do not like the chances of multiples associated with IVF.
- Religious reasons. IVF as well as other forms of assisted conception are not acceptable.
- Less taxing on the woman’s body than IVF. With IVF there are fertility drugs that can cause havoc.
The problem that many couples face is that when they find a physician that advertises tubal reversal the physician also does IVF. This is no way means that some doctors cannot do both, but the couple then finds out they are being steered toward the IVF over the tubal reversal surgery. If the couple has done their research and they know what they want they have made up their minds and shouldn’t have to deal with this.
What Are The Pregnancy Success Rates
When trying to locate the best tubal reversal surgeon be sure to ask what the pregnancy success rates are. Pay close attention to the answer. Often a couple will be told the success rates are “high”. Are there any actual numbers to back this up? And if there are actual numbers where did these numbers come from?
When choosing the best tubal reversal surgeon the more research you do the better decision you and your partner will make. Do not be afraid to ask questions. The staff and surgeon are there to help you. If you are not completely comfortable with the answers you receive then begin your search again.
Mother’s Day and Tubal Reversal
Mother’s Day holds a special place in our hearts. Each year mother’s are celebrated and given a day where they are recognized. This is especially so for those women that have taken the leap and had tubal reversal surgery.
Being a mother is one of the hardest jobs there is. And there are women that go through motherhood and choose not to have more children because they feel that their families are complete. This is when they will make the decision to have their tubes tied or a tubal ligation.
Then there is something that changes and they desire to have another child. It may be that they are with a new partner or husband. It may be just that they feel they made the decision too early. What they do know is that they want another child.
Most times than not these women already have children. They are well aware of the work that goes into parenting. And they know they are more than willing to take on the responsibility and have more than enough love in their hearts to share. Their nurturing skills are fine-tuned. They pray the reversal works.
After the tubal reversal surgery they are in sync with their bodies. They pee on sticks and make sure there are backups so they do not run out. They need to know when they are ovulating..they want to have a baby. They wonder each and every month if they will be given that second chance.
Each month when they find out they are not pregnant heartbreak sets in. They become obsessed with getting pregnant. They have a desire that burns deep within their souls and they are unwilling to give up.
Then the day arrives that they get the positive pregnancy test. The lines are there no matter how the stick is turned. Racing heart and disbelief set in. Partners are alerted and as happy as the couple is a fear also becomes a new best friend. Is the pregnancy viable? When am I supposed to have my blood drawn? Please let this be the “sticky bean”.
This is a journey in a couple’s life that will always be remembered. The tubal reversal journey is a path full of both joy and heartbreak. Whether you have conceived and pregnant or had a tubal reversal baby or are trying to conceive… Happy Mother’s Day. You are embarking on an incredible life journey that will long be remembered. Life truly has its ups and downs.

Is Essure Removal Possible?
Essure is still considered a relatively new form of female sterilization or birth control. Many women have opted for this procedure because of its convenience. The procedure can be performed right in the doctor’s office. There is no surgery involved and the recuperation time is minimal. Because many women hold full time employment or have a family they like the idea that there is no surgery involved leading to less “down time”.
Essure consists of a small coil like object that is very small. Coils are placed into each of the fallopian tubes and then scar tissue forms around the coils causing the fallopian tubes to become blocked. The procedure is done from entering the vagina then through the cervix into the fallopian tubes. Although women may feel cramping many say the discomfort is tolerable. The doctor performing the procedure can see what is taking place while watching on a monitor to make sure the spring-like coils are placed correctly. After the procedure is complete the patient is instructed to use another form of birth control for three months. At the three-month mark the patient then goes for a test to make sure the fallopian tubes are completely blocked with scar tissue. This test is called a hysterosalpingogram or HSG. Once the tubes are completely blocked there is no need for a second birth control method.
The company that makes Essure states there are little to no side effects to the Essure procedure and coils. It is still considered new and there does not seem to be much data to be found as of it. As time goes on there will be more results and more women who come forward with issues concerning the procedure. Essure is considered irreversible.
As of late there seem to be women stepping forward and writing about issues they are having after having the Essure procedure. Many are seeking removal of the devices and are either being told that it is impossible to have Essure removal or that a full hysterectomy will be needed.
Women are having the following problems after the Essure procedure:
- Pain where the cols are located.
- Unexplained joint pain.
- Metallic taste in mouth.
- Skin rashes.
- Painful intercourse.
- Lethargy
These are just a few of the examples put forth and there are more women posting daily.
Having a full hysterectomy is not the solution to Essure removal. The tubal reversal experts at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center have been reversing the Essure procedure successfully using a procedure called tubouterine implantation. There is no need to have to go through a major surgery and have a full hysterectomy.
Patients that have had the Essure removal are reporting that signs and symptoms subside almost immediately.
For more information on Essure removal the tubal reversal nurses can be contacted by calling 1-919-968-4656 or by visiting the website at: http://www.tubal-reversal.net
Pregnant After Tubal Ligation Without IVF
Is it possible to get pregnant after tubal ligation without IVF? This is something that is asked everyday by women who want to have a child after having their tubes tied.
Yes, it is possible to become pregnant after a tubal ligation. For some it does happen naturally but it is slim and very few actually have a successful pregnancy. The fallopian tubes do not grow back together. The sperm is actually able to get to the egg from a fistula that was formed after the surgery. This is a tiny hole where the sperm or egg was able to get through.
The problem with this is that many times the fetus will begin to form in the fallopian tube. This is what is called an ectopic pregnancy. This is very dangerous and if a woman who suspects she may be pregnant should seek medical advice right away. This is something that if not treated can be life threatening.
For a woman to become after a tubal ligation and not have to use IVF would be tubal ligation reversal. The great thing about the procedure is that not only does it cost less but also has a better proven pregnancy success rate. And the couple has a chance to get pregnant each month following the procedure. There are no drugs involved and if the couple wants more children there is no need for medical intervention. Many couples have two or three babies after the procedure.
It is very possible to get pregnant after a tubal ligation without IVF. Not only is tubal reversal less expensive it has a better pregnancy success rate. For those who are seeking more information on this procedure visit: http://www.tubal-reversal.net.

The Success Rate of Tubal Reversal
When a woman has had a tubal ligation and wants to become pregnant she is basically given two choices. The first is typically IVF or in vitro fertilization. The second option is tubal reversal. But which one will work better? Of course any couple will want to choose the procedure that will help get them the child they are yearning for.
When a couple wants to know the success rate of tubal reversal what is it that they are asking? In most of the cases they are asking how many women that undergo the procedure become pregnant. There are some that ask the success rate of the fallopian tubes repair because it is not only a very important question but many will worry that their tubes are too damaged.
The leading tubal reversal center located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina is the only center in the world that can actually answer both of these questions. The success rate of fallopian tubes repair stands at 98%. This is an excellent repair rate.
The pregnancy success rate of tubal reversal in regards to pregnancy success rate is a whole different question and answer. Up until the release of the Tubal Reversal Pregnancy Report 2009 there was very little information to be found. The CDC does have information but the findings are hard for the “average” couple to decipher. What couples want is real concrete evidence that tubal reversal does indeed work.
The concrete evidence became very real and clear when Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center released the findings of the study named Tubal Reversal Pregnancy Report 2009. Not only were couples shocked at the success rates but many in the medical field were also surprised. Not only did this study show just how successful tubal reversal is but also proved ligation reversal has a better pregnancy success rate over the alternative treatment of IVF.
This report has not only helped couples to have hope restored after a tubal ligation but also helped in the medical community. Many physicians had no exposure to tubal ligation reversal while in medical school and this report has helped to shed light on a procedure that is still misunderstood by some.
The cost of tubal ligation reversal is also much less than the alternative treatment of in vitro fertilization. Because the couple also has a chance of conceiving each month there is also no need for further medical intervention.
For more information on the success rate of tubal reversal the nurses at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center are happy to speak with you. The nurses can be reached by calling 1-919-968-4656. And as always the consultation is free of charge.

Tubal Reversal Surgery and C-Sections
If you have had previous c-sections for the birth of children is tubal reversal surgery possible? This is a very common question among women who have had their tubes tied and want them repaired.
In most cases the women are choosing to have the reversal procedure to restore fertility in order to have more children. Some have been told by less experienced in the tubal reversal world that multiple c-sections means that you cannot have the procedure. This is not true.
At Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center the women who are researching the reversal ask this question and receive this answer from the nurses trained in the procedure as well as patients that have already had the procedure.
When asked this question on the tubal reversal message board a nurse takes the time to answer the question to put fears at ease.
Whitney, R.N. replies:
“mochamom,
Many women come and have surgery that have had multiple c-sections or abdominal surgery. The doctors will try to use the same scar if possible, but sometimes it is not. Due to adhesions from scar tissue because of the multiple c-sections the surgery can be more difficult, but again, this is not an unheard of. The TR surgery is far less invasive than a c-section, its a 2-4 in. incision and the average blood loss is about a tablespoon. I have not heard that having more c-sections puts you at higher risk for infection, nor uncontrolled bleeding during the TR surgery. “
Hope this helps,
Whitney, RN
